Driving home tonight, I listened to the NPR story. It made me a little sad, and also a little nostalgic for the joy found in summer reading lists.
I must have returned Catcher in the Rye to the high school library , but somehow managed to keep this one on the bookshelf for the last 25 years or so. Time to read it again.
